This is a kindergarten in Japan. At a training workshop a couple of months ago, the speaker told us about it so I looked it up. You need to watch this TED talk video!
I can't decide what I think about this. At first it kind of reminded me of a zoo. I love the idea of children getting to explore. But I would worry about the weather! And as I watched, I found myself asking, "where is the STUFF?" We all know how important STUFF is to a classroom. Where is the curriculum? The supplies??? How do they teach kids in an environment like that???
What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea? Do you have questions too?
